You can top up your Plutus Card by transferring funds from your Plutus Account balance, selling PLU or ETH in our DEX, or swapping PLU Rewards for fiat.
Topping up your Plutus Card
We can separate the ways to add balance to your Plutus Card based on where the funds are coming from. Here is an overview of the 3 options available.
Transferring funds from your Plutus Account balance
You can freely move the funds from your Plutus Account to your Plutus Card.
- On the website:
- Go to the Banking tab.
- Click the blue "+" button next to your card balance.
- Select Transfer from your Plutus Account.
- Input an amount and click Proceed.
- On the app:
- Go to the Home screen.
- Click the blue "+" button next to your card balance.
- Input an amount and click Proceed.
Notes:
- Top-ups with EUR currency can take up to 2 business days to be processed in times of high traffic. We are implementing a new banking partner to make top-ups instantaneous.
- The Support Team monitors proactively if any top-up takes over 48h to be processed, and will fix any unexpected situation proactively.
- Top-ups are a non-reversible action, you can't move your funds back to the Account. You can contact Support for exceptions on this for special situations.
Top up by selling PLU/ETH using the DEX
Note: This option is not available for UK users, read more about this here.
You can use our Plutus DEX to sell PLU or ETH from an external wallet and add those funds to your card balance directly.
- On the website:
- Go to the Banking tab.
- Click the blue "+" button next to your card balance.
- Select Top up using crypto.
- Connect your Metamask wallet
- Input an amount and cryptocurrency and click on Proceed
- On the app: Not available at the moment.

Top up by selling your PLU Rewards
Note: This option is not available for UK users, read more about this here.
You can use our Plutus DEX to sell PLU Rewards from your internal balance and add those funds to your card balance directly.
- On the website:

- Click on Sell.
- Input an amount and click on Proceed.

For all 3 methods, once the top-up is processed and the funds received, you will receive a notification.
FAQ
I initiated a top-up over 1 business day ago but it is still not in my balance.
Keep in mind that the weekend does not count as business days, and also sometimes there could be delays of up to 2 business days. If you are still missing any top-ups after 2 business days, please contact our Support team for review.
Note that we are implementing a new banking partner to make top-ups instantaneous.
Can I top up my Plutus Card with a bank transfer, another card payment, or any other way?
No, the 3 ways presented above are the only options.
I have initiated a top-up but I want to cancel it, is it possible?
No, the Support team doesn't have the capability to stop top-ups once initiated.
Are there any other methods for topping up the card planned for the future?
Yes! As part of our roadmap update, we will be adding the ability to top up your card with transfers from others, like salary payments.
