What is a seed phrase?

A seed phrase is a list of words that can be used to recover a wallet should that ever be necessary.

When you first create a cryptocurrency wallet, you will be prompted to write down and securely store your seed phrase. This is traditionally 12 words long, however, it can be longer.

Important:

• Write down your seed phrase and store it, physically, somewhere safe. Ideally, create two (or more) copies of this and store them in separate locations
  
  
• Never disclose your seed phrase to anyone. With this seed phrase, a malicious attack could gain access to your wallet and your funds
  
  
• If you lose access to your wallet and don't have your seed phrase then your wallet and funds will be unrecoverable and lost forever
