If you've misplaced your card but think you may find it sometime soon, you can freeze your card via the Plutus account or Plutus Mobile App to ensure that nobody can misuse it and conduct fraudulent transactions in your name.
Freezing your Plutus Card
Web app
- Go to your Profile > Settings > Card to find your list of available Plutus Cards.
- Click on the "Freeze Card" button next to the card you want to freeze.
- Click the "Freeze Card" button in the confirmation pop-up to complete the Freeze.
To unfreeze your card, similar steps apply:
- Go to your Profile > Settings > Card to find your list of available Plutus Cards.
- Click on the "Unfreeze Card" button next to the card you want to unfreeze.
- Ready!
Note: Make sure to only unfreeze your card when you are confident that there is no risk of malicious usage of your card.
Mobile app
- Go to Card > Settings on the respective card you want to freeze.
- Tap on the "Freeze Card" button to initiate the freeze.
- Confirm the action by tapping on the "Freeze Card" button in the pop-up.
To unfreeze your card, similar steps apply:
- Go to your Card > Settings again to initiate the unfreeze.
- Click on the "Unfreeze Card" button next to the card you want to unfreeze.
- Ready!
Note: Make sure to only unfreeze your card when you are confident that there is no risk of malicious usage of your card.
